Diagnostic and monitoring system for overhead contact lines PEGASUS
Pegasus is a new diagnostics and monitoring system for overhead contact lines used on light rail systems such as trolley lines and subways. It is a contact line sensor which signals the line status optically with standard green/red colors, informing conducting engineers, the central control station, and even maintenance crew, in real time, as to the status of a particular section of line or of the total network. Peripheral devices mounted along the contact line, diagnose the presence of power and can update a Central Control Station by sending (SMS) messages via GSM or simply over the phone line.
